Introduction

Veritas is the knowledge and communication Guild of Emberlin Academy.

Veritas creates space to investigate ideas, understand people and communicate knowledge.

Culture & the stories we carry

What we inherit

Veritas creates a space for conversations about where we come from, what we inherit and what we choose to carry forward. It can explore:

  • African traditions
  • Language
  • Cultural identity
  • Intergenerational knowledge
  • Migration and belonging
  • Changing social realities
  • Youth perspectives
  • Healing and generational conversations

This reflects Emberlin’s wider interest in storytelling as a way of understanding both ourselves and the world around us.

Connecting with Emberlin

Across the ecosystem

Veritas can contribute research, conversation and cultural insight to projects across the Emberlin ecosystem.

  • Golden Mike An episode may begin with a Veritas question.
  • Gen Z High A storyline may be informed by research.
  • The Brave Four A story may introduce children to cultural or environmental knowledge.
  • Publishing Can transform research into written material.
  • Foundation Programmes can turn conversations into community initiatives.

SDG alignment

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Veritas contributes particularly to SDG 4, SDG 10, SDG 11, SDG 16 and SDG 17, with a focus on education, cultural knowledge, dialogue, inclusion and partnerships.
