Emberlin Publishers

Stories that live

Beyond the screen.

Introduction

Emberlin Publishing extends the worlds created by Emberlin Studios into books, print and other reading experiences.

Our publishing arm brings original characters, stories and ideas into formats that can be read, shared, written in and passed from one generation to another.

From children’s storybooks and illustrated books to comics, journals, school exercise books and original publications, Emberlin Publishing creates opportunities for our stories to become part of everyday life.

Storybooks Comics Journals School books Original publications

From screen to page

An Emberlin story does not have to exist in only one format.

One world, many formats

An episode of The Adventures of the Brave Four can become a storybook.

A character can appear in a journal or school exercise book.

A story can become an illustrated publication.

A conversation from Gen Z High can inspire a written piece.

A question raised through The Golden Mike Podcast can become part of a publication or learning resource.

Publishing allows each world to develop beyond its original format.

Culture on the page

Publishing is also about preserving and extending stories.

Written, shared, remembered

Emberlin is interested in the relationship between storytelling, African culture, language, identity and the experiences of different generations.

Our publications create space for African stories to be written, illustrated, shared and remembered.

“As the Emberlin ecosystem grows, this will also create opportunities for stories to move across languages and cultural contexts while retaining the identity from which they originated.”

Part of a bigger world

Alongside the other Emberlin arms

  • Studios creates the original stories and characters.
  • Publishing gives those stories another life.
  • Academy can use selected content within learning and development programmes.
  • Experiences can bring the worlds into physical spaces.
  • Licensing creates opportunities for selected properties to become products and collaborations.
  • Foundation initiatives can use appropriate publications to support community programmes.

This is how one creative property can continue to grow.
